Writer- A writer turns the idea into something realistic, including the main characters, plot and the original idea.
Producer- A producer is responsible for all parts of the films production, they are there to turn ideas into profitable films.
Casting director- Organise the actors for casting for all roles in the film.
Director- The creative part of a films production, visualising the structure of the film and bringing it to life.
Camera operator- They prepare and operate all of the cameras and work with the director.
Editor- They work closely with the director to craft the finished film.
Production designer- They manage and define every visual aspect of a film
Marketing- As the last touches are made to a film, the marketing team will begin to plan how they will market the film.
Development- Basically where the story comes from. Where the creators get the inspiration from, whether it be novels, real life or adaptations from computer games for example. Even at the early stage they must have an idea who the film is aimed at so they know where it's going
Pre-production- Once the film idea is established, a crew is put together and each scene is broken down and assigned a time, location, characters etc.
Production- The process of making the film, this stage is fairly straight forward as the pre-production involves most of the hard work
Post-production- Once the film is shot, it will be given to the editor to be edited. Soundtracks, dialogue, special effects will be added and then when the film is assembled it can be shown to a test audience for feedback before it premieres
